We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching and senior staff to support pupils across a range of learning and personal care needs.
The post-holder will be required to:
- Work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff, both within the classroom and in alternative settings as appropriate to the role.
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities and educational programmes as directed.
- Assist in the delivery of high-quality personal care for students who require additional support, ensuring dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Support pupils with eating and drinking programmes in line with individual care plans.
- Facilitate structured and engaging lunchtime activities that promote positive social interaction.
- Assist pupils with changing requirements and support their access to the hydrotherapy pool.
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a patient, respectful and professional approach to working with children and young people.
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching and senior staff.
