Job Introduction
Bury College is looking for a Student Information Administrator to join our Student Information team and play a key role in supporting applicants, students and colleagues across the College. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will provide a high-quality administrative service, ensuring that student information is accurate, secure and up to date. You will also be one of the first points of contact for applicants and will provide advice and guidance throughout the application, interview and enrolment processes.
About the role
As a Student Information Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate student records and supporting the effective operation of the College's student information systems and processes. You will work closely with curriculum and business support teams to help maximise student numbers, coordinate interviews and enrolment activities, and ensure that applicants receive an excellent level of customer service. The role is fast-paced and varied, so you'll need to be adaptable and comfortable responding to changing priorities and demands within the further education environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing a high-quality administrative service as part of the Student Information team.
- Accurately inputting, updating and maintaining student data and records.
- Monitoring data processes and identifying any issues, backlogs or opportunities for improvement.
- Collating, analysing and validating data to support reports, including applications and enrolments.
- Supporting the enrolment process for learners across the College.
- Providing advice, guidance and support to applicants by telephone, email and in person.
- Supporting and helping to lead interview and enrolment events, acting as a key point of contact for applicants, parents and curriculum teams.
- Coordinating interview and enrolment schedules and allocating appropriate appointment times.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure effective communication.
- Supporting mailings and e-shots through the accurate collation and processing of relevant data.
- Assisting with data validation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of management information and external returns.
- Developing user guidance and delivering training to colleagues using Student Information systems.
- Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring learner information is processed and stored securely and in accordance with GDPR and relevant legislation.
- Contributing to continuous improvement, innovation and the sharing of good practice across the service.
