We are now welcoming applications from colleagues for the position of Lecturer in Health & Social Care on a full time, permanent basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic subject specialist who is committed to delivering outstanding teaching, supporting student success, and contributing to the continued development of our curriculum.

About the Role

As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching across Health & Social Care programmes.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that inspire learners to achieve and progress.
  • Monitor learner progress through effective assessment, feedback and individual progress reviews.
  • Support learners both academically and pastorally, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality digital learning resources through Canvas and other learning technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to course development, quality improvement and curriculum planning.
  • Promote excellent attendance, retention and achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with employers, support work placements and contribute to learner recruitment activities.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Health & Social Care or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or be working towards one).
  • Experience of teaching Health & Social Care or a related subject within Further Education or another educational setting.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and digital skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and supporting learner success.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated curriculum team.

Experience of working within the Health & Social Care sector is desirable, along with knowledge of current industry practice.
