Newbarn is an inclusive, tenant needs-led, high-quality accommodation and support service that promotes social inclusion and enables vulnerable adults to achieve their full potential. We provide alternative support solutions for people with mental health needs and learning disabilities. Through bespoke support and accommodation packages, we aim to meet the wants and needs of the tenant and to work with their support team. This may be supported living, shared accommodation or single tenancies throughout Rochdale.
We provide a range of social care activities that include emotional and psychological support and promote wellbeing, prevent the need for more costly acute care services and that are oriented towards enablement, recovery, diversity and social inclusion.
About the vacancy: Immediate start for someone to join our friendly team. You will be supported throughout your course and be surrounded by an experienced team who will help and guide you to gain your qualification. You will be involved in delivering high quality care and maintaining our very high standards.
Supporting adults with all aspects of daily living including:
- Support to manage a tenancy (budgeting, paying bills, cleaning)
- Healthy eating (meal planning, shopping and cooking)
- Enjoying social activities (support to attend and participate in leisure and learning activities and social events)
- Support to attend health appointments
- Support to use public transport
- Promote positive mental health and wellbeing
You will receive the following training: Level 2 Diploma in Care (Adult Care). This is a work-based qualification.

Qualifications:
- Essential: English (GCSE - C/4 or above or equivalent)

Outcome: Possibility of a fixed term contract on completion, dependent on staff to tenant ratios. The starting salary is Β£14,500 a year for 35 hours Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm or 9.00am to 4.00pm (as preferred). The apprenticeship will run for 1 Year 6 Months.
