Bury CofE Primary School – Part‑Time Office Administrator

Location: Bury CofE Primary School, part of the Diocese of Ely Multi‑Academy Trust (DEMAT).

Position: Office Administrator – 5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Salary: Point 3 £24,796 FTE per year, approximately £2,866 pro‑rata.

Commencement: As soon as possible.

Optional: The Office Administrator role may be combined with the Breakfast Club Assistant role.

Role Overview

Provide administrative support in the school office, liaising with parents, collating information, answering phones, relaying messages and completing general office tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with parents and other stakeholders.
  • Collate and manage information and documents.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
  • Support daily office operations and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working within a school or office setting with good computing and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, ambitious, and serious about improving children’s life chances through education.
  • Highly organised, conscientious and able to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Cooperative teamwork and clear communication with colleagues, parents and pupils.
