Casual Care & Support Workers

£13.75 per hour rising to £13.85 after successful completion of training and probation period.

Hours are on a casual basis to cover staff annual leave, sickness and training and will include some days/evenings/weekend and bank holiday working.

About you

You don’t need to have previous experience of working in social care; what’s important is that you are caring, a good communicator, patient, creative, able to work on your own initiative, show empathy and also work as part of a team. Most of all we are looking for someone who shares our values.

Flexibility is important as you will work on a rota basis. The rotas include a mix of shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, weekend and bank holidays.

About the role

You will be based in our short stay service, where we support older people at Elmhurst and adults with a learning disability at Woodbury.

Responsibilities

  • Support people with everyday tasks, including getting out of bed, dressing, eating meals and bathing
  • Assist with activities and daily living activities
  • Support with personal care needs as required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • No prior social care experience needed
  • Caring, good communicator, patient, creative, works independently and as part of a team
  • Value oriented – shares company values
  • Suitable for a casual rota, flexible availability
  • Requires satisfactory disclosure under Disclosure and Barring Service
  • Requires no sponsorship for this role
