Who We Are

The Reablement service, part of Killelea, supports customers in their own home, whether they have had a stay in hospital or just not managing their daily living tasks at home. We aim to return the customer to their baseline of independence.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting people in their own homes and assisting and promoting the reablement of these people with identified needs. You will therapeutically and proactively enable customers to reach their own potential and personal goals, maintain their independence and continue to live in their own home. We currently have part-time and full-time opportunities available, and you must be a driver with a full clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support for customers in line with CQC regulations.
  • Assist and support customers with daily living tasks such as preparation of meals, medication prompts, dressing and personal care where required.
  • Encourage and promote independence to customers in line with their personal goal plan in their home to build confidence with each customer.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records and follow care plans.
  • Adapt the level of support you provide as individuals’ needs change.
  • Work collaboratively with other colleagues and external health professionals.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands rehabilitation and the changing nature of customer needs.
  • Holds a full, clean UK driving licence with access to a vehicle as you will be travelling between people's homes (essential).
  • Has previous home care experience or similar experience within a care setting (desirable - we value personal qualities and personal experiences).
  • Is flexible, patient, and resilient and can communicate clearly with both customers and colleagues.
  • Holds a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care (desirable).
  • Is willing to learn, develop, and work as part of a team.
