Bridge House Residential is set in a Victorian country home offering a special blend of traditional elegance and modern facilities, set within one and a half acres of landscaped gardens. The home is situated in the heart of the community, close to bus routes, motorway links and a variety of shops. Bridge House has 30 bedrooms with large en-suite shower rooms and flat screen televisions, as well as an emergency call system for extra peace of mind. Set across two floors, the home has five communal lounges which are there for residents to use as they wish, whether relaxing with a book, taking part in an activity or catching up with friends and family, who are welcome to visit at any time. The home boasts newly landscaped gardens, making it the perfect setting for people to enjoy in the warmer months.
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Worker, who can ensure that both our residents and our staff have a safe, well-maintained and fully functioning environment to live and work in.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out routine and emergency repairs across our homes
- Basic plumbing, joinery, painting and maintenance tasks
- Maintain outdoor areas, ensuring gardens and pathways are safe
- Ensure that tools and equipment are kept in good condition and stored safely
- Attend other sites as directed
- Conduct regular health and safety checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting etc.)
- Complete accurate records of work
- Provide emergency call-out when agreed
- Experience in a similar role (essential)
- Good understanding of building maintenance and basic repairs
- Ability to travel between Lotus Care locations (as required)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willing to complete training and competency assessments
