We are growing the team, initially to work with people we already support in Persona, to enable them to explore their aspirations for spending some of their time in employment and volunteering. We're now looking for someone with the passion and determination to help people build the skills they need, find the perfect opportunity for them, and then help them thrive in their work, to work flexibly on a casual basis.
About us: Persona supports people with learning disabilities and older people within Bury, Greater Manchester. We provide a range of services for adults who have learning disabilities, autism and/or mental health needs. These services are very diverse and offer a unique and exciting opportunity to empower the people we support.
About the role: Our job coaches will be in-reaching to services to raise people's awareness of employment and volunteering and to identify suitable referrals. You'll work with people in small groups or individually to understand their aspirations and to help them build skills and develop their strengths. You will support them to understand what roles are right for them, to gain more of an understanding around employment and work towards a good job match and be their partner through their job search, by their side to enable them at all points. When they achieve their goals, you'll be there to support them to settle into their opportunity and thrive. All roles will be hybrid with a mixture of work at home, at our Basecamp office or out within services and the community.
About you: We're looking for the right people to get this team off to a flying start. You'll need to share our values and be passionate about enabling people to achieve their aspirations. We'll provide training to enhance the skills and experience which you bring to the role. We are true champions of flexible working so we're very willing to understand what working arrangements work best for you and to try and accommodate those if we can. We want you to thrive as much as the people you'll be supporting.
What Next? Further information about the role can be found in the job description below. In return for your contribution we will support you throughout your career. We provide a wide range of employee benefits, career development and lifestyle support services to ensure that you too feel supported, fulfilled and valued from day one of your employment with us.
Persona is committed to being an inclusive employer and recognises the value of having a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome applications from all people, irrespective of their personal characteristics or circumstances, and appointments are made objectively based upon talents, abilities and experience. Where possible, we will support employees to work flexibly or with adjustments, so that they can perform to their best ability. We are committed to providing a working environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect, and where individual skills and life experiences are valued.
Please note satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Disclosure and Barring Service is required prior to appointment.
To Apply: If the above sounds like you, then please 'apply for job' and a member of the team will give you a call back to discuss your interest in the role, any questions you may have and to secure an interview.
