The Café at the The Live Well Centre in Whitefield is open: Monday - Friday - 9:30am - 2:30pm.
Live Well is one of the GM Mayoral priorities for the coming years. All areas of GM are implementing initiatives to enable the Live Well vision. In Bury, the first Live Well centre will be opening soon in Whitefield. It will be a centre which is welcoming and accessible to the local community and where all sorts of help and support will be available via a range of partner organisations, to help people to live well. Integral to the Live Well Centre is a community café and Persona have been asked to run this so we need a dream team to set up and run this exciting new café venue.
About you: You don’t need previous experience as we will support you with training and any required qualifications, but you will be a great communicator and you’ll be someone who understands and can demonstrate excellent customer service skills. You will need to be able to prepare a range of hot and cold meals and bake a variety of cakes as well as make hot and cold drinks.
About the role: You will be supporting the café supervisor to provide a great café offer and you’ll be involved in everything from food preparation to keeping the café space clean and welcoming. You’ll need to work as part of a small team, supporting those around you and taking pride in great customer care and embedding the five Persona values - Respectful, Enthusiastic, Adaptable, Caring and Honest - into everything you do. You will need to start work slightly earlier and finish slightly later than the café opening times, to support the opening and closing of service. You will need a DBS for this role.
