JOB SUMMARY
To assist Burwell Surgery in providing a friendly and caring service to patients to support health monitoring and chronic disease management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Treatment room duties e.g. dressings, suture removal, swabs, cervical smears, venepuncture, routine vaccinations, contraception service.
- Disease management and health promotion clinics e.g. diabetic, asthma, smoking, weight, patient health checks, leg ulcer.
- Regularly checking medical equipment to ensure serviced and maintained.
- Infection control and prevention.
- Admin to include completing patient record books as necessary and keeping accurate record on medical records system.
- Deal with tasks received via multiple routes e.g. SystmOne, AskmyGP and email.
- Attend training sessions to keep knowledge up to date.
- Attend meetings as requested by your Manager to ensure you are up to date on organisation policies and procedures.
