We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Parcel Sorter in Sheffield. If you have worked for the likes of Amazon, Tesco, DHL and Ocado Group or if you are looking to work for a similar company to start your career with then we have the position for you!
Responsibilities:- Perform a variety of warehouse tasks, including but not limited to scanning, sorting, and heavy lifting.
- Ensure all products are stored and labeled correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Prepare orders for delivery or pick up by checking for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in loading and unloading merchandise from delivery vehicles or containers.
- Use warehouse management systems to input data and track inventory.
- Conduct regular stock checks to identify any discrepancies or issues.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
- Availability to work night shifts, starting at 23:00.
