Our client is one of the UK's leading loss adjusting firms, providing complete claims solutions to insurance providers across commercial, domestic, marine and motor markets for over 40 years. They combine specialist expertise with the scale and resource of an international network. They're looking for a technically strong Engineer to join their Subsidence team as Surveyor/Engineer. This is a remote role for a confident, client-facing engineer who enjoys the variety of subsidence and property claims work – site inspections, technical assessment, and clear reporting that drives liability and settlement decisions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Handling subsidence claims and providing technical support to Adjusters within your area of specialism.
  • Carrying out site visits, investigating claims, and preparing case management plans.
  • Producing detailed reports covering policy analysis, liability, quantum and future actions.
  • Instructing and directing other technical specialists as required.
  • Calculating and agreeing interim payments and final settlements.
  • Recommending and reviewing repair/mitigation solutions – underpinning, drainage, vegetation management and other remedial works.
  • Providing expert technical input on causation, including support for litigation, complaints and recoveries where needed.
  • Keeping up to date with technical and legal developments affecting your specialism.
