We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our customer service team as a Customer Service Advisor for an insurance broker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling both inbound and outbound calls from our clients. Your main objective will be to assist clients who need assistance with making changes to their insurance policies that they have not been successful in completing online, taking payments, or processing cancellation requests. Your proactive approach and effective strategies will be essential in retaining policies whenever possible.
Office-based, no hybrid model (Manchester- Full Time). From Monday till Friday every week. One Saturday and Sunday per month will be requested (40 hours per week).
Weekly shifts:
- 2x early β 8:30 am β 16:50
- 2x middle β 10:00 am β 18:20
- 1x late β 12:50 pm β 9:00 pm
- Saturday (once per month) β 9:00 am β 5:00 pm
- Sunday (once per month) β 10:00 am β 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Team Manager
- Handle both inbound and outbound calls from clients.
- Assist Clients with changes to their insurance policies, processing payments, or addressing cancellation requests.
- Utilise persuasive communication techniques and negotiation skills to proactively retain policies when clients express an intention to cancel.
- Accurately document and update client interactions, changes, and policy information using our internal systems.
- Building strong relationships with customers to ensure their long-term loyalty and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a call centre or insurance-related role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with clients effectively.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to encourage policy retention.
- Empathy and the ability to understand and address clients' concerns and needs.
- Good problem-solving skills to assess client situations and offer appropriate solutions.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting client interactions and policy changes.
- Computer literate.
