About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Lead Consultant to join a growing Microsoft consultancy, leading the delivery of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform solutions. This is a senior consultancy position where you will take ownership of CRM implementations from discovery through to deployment while helping shape the organisation's CRM practice. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business, design innovative CRM solutions, deliver successful implementations and mentor other consultants within the business. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard whilst contributing to the growth of the CRM practice through best practice, governance, reusable assets and customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) implementation projects.
- Facilitate customer discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable CRM solutions.
- Produce functional specifications and solution design documentation.
- Configure and implement Dynamics 365 CE and Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- Deliver customer training and user adoption sessions.
- Manage project scope, timelines and stakeholder expectations.
- Work alongside technical consultants and developers throughout project delivery.
- Support customers through implementation, go-live and ongoing platform development.
CRM Solution Leadership
- Provide expert consultancy across the Dynamics 365 CE platform.
- Design CRM data models, security roles, workflows and automation.
- Deliver solutions across Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service and Marketing.
- Develop integrations between Dynamics 365 CE, Business Central and other business applications.
- Apply best practice governance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Translate industry-specific business requirements into repeatable CRM solutions that reduce implementation effort and improve customer outcomes.
- Design scalable CRM architectures aligned to customer business objectives.
Commercial & Pre-Sales
- Deliver product demonstrations and customer workshops.
- Assist with solution scoping and requirements analysis.
- Produce Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Provide effort estimations and implementation planning.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer solutions through automation, customer journeys, marketing, service management and integrations.
- Contribute towards CRM product strategy and future roadmap development.
- Position CRM solutions as strategic business platforms rather than standalone software.
Practice Development
- Develop implementation templates, playbooks and reusable delivery assets.
- Mentor junior CRM consultants and support wider team development.
- Promote best practice across documentation, governance and project delivery.
- Help establish standards for CRM implementations across the consultancy.
- Improve delivery methodologies and customer success processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the CRM practice.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong commercial experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE).
- Excellent knowledge of Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service and Marketing modules.
- Strong Microsoft Power Platform experience including: Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse.
- Experience delivering full implementation lifecycles.
- Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and consultancy skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical CRM solutions.
- Experience producing solution documentation and functional specifications.
- Customer-facing consulting experience.
- Experience delivering demonstrations and end-user training.
- Microsoft AI and Copilot knowledge.
- Microsoft PL-900 certification (or equivalent experience).
Desirable
- Microsoft PL-600 certification.
- Experience integrating Dynamics 365 CE with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Power BI experience.
