Chemical Research and Compliance Manager
About the Role: Burton Recruitment is working exclusively with an award-winning, growing family business operating internationally across 40+ countries. Due to continued expansion, they\’re seeking a Chemical Research and Compliance Manager to spearhead product development and international regulatory compliance for their chemical product range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead international compliance activities across EU, Australia, New Zealand, and expanding into new markets
- Drive research and development of new chemical products (70% of role long-term)
- Review and achieve regulatory approvals for existing product portfolio
- Manage formaldehyde restrictions and alternative product development
- Work closely with international distributors on market-specific requirements
- Chemistry degree OR specific industry experience with chemicals/disinfectants
- Experience with formaldehydes, disinfectants, surfactants, and acids
- Strong understanding of international chemical regulations and compliance
- Background in industrial cleaning, detergents, or similar chemical sectors
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
