Are you an experienced Motor Claims Handler looking for a role where your technical expertise and client focus will genuinely make a difference? We're working with a well-regarded brokerage to find a skilled claims professional to join their established Leeds-based team. This is a hands-on, full-time on-site role offering the chance to manage a varied portfolio of motor and transit claims from start to finish, working within a collaborative team committed to delivering an exceptional service to clients and insurers alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage motor and transit claims end-to-end, ensuring service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
  • Conduct desktop investigations into policy and legal liability to establish the correct outcome for clients.
  • Attend site visits where required to support onsite investigations and insurer presentations.
  • Maintain an efficient diary system, ensuring all claims are chased and progressed in a timely manner.
  • Utilise and develop a full working knowledge of Acturis for claims processing and management.
  • Provide broking teams and clients with accurate claims information and MI reports as required.
  • Handle all claims in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs, and internal procedures.
  • Acknowledge new claims promptly to clients and insurers, keeping all parties informed throughout.
  • Meet with clients to present claims information and updates when required.
  • Maintain and develop your CPD to keep technical knowledge and skills current.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by management.
What We're Looking For
  • You'll be a confident and technically capable claims professional with a solid background in motor claims.
  • Proven motor insurance claims handling experience, with a thorough understanding of claims procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of current case law, common law, statutes, and relevant regulations.
  • Strong investigation skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of insurance law and policy wording interpretation.
  • Familiarity with Acturis is desirable, along with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working towards or holding Cert CII, Cert CILA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Committed to applying TCF and KYC principles in all client interactions.
