Burton and South Derbyshire College have an exciting and expanding Fabrication & Welding curriculum, aimed at matching learners' skills to the needs of local, regional and national employers. This requires a competent, up-to-date Fabrication & Welding Tutor with commercial experience from industry, alongside an enthusiastic approach to teaching and engaging our learners.

You will teach, assess and monitor students engaged in Level 1, 2 & 3 programmes, and support and facilitate student learning; liaising closely with the Curriculum Team Leader, Course Leaders and Management. You will be responsible for the Level 2 Fabrication & Welding programme, taking pride in learner progress and outcomes.

Desirable for this post are an Initial Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to work towards one, and a minimum Level 3 Welding qualification, with recent and/or extensive industry experience. You will also have the ability to design programme materials for the department to support the training and assessment within the department.
