Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking to appoint a professional who has industry/teaching experience within the health science sector. You will be required to teach health and social care related modules across a range of courses with a focus on Social Science and Humanities. We are looking for someone who is committed to helping learners develop the skill set necessary for progressing onto their next career step.

As a course leader at Burton & South Derbyshire College you will have the opportunity to access and teach in our industry standard Health Care and Simulation Suites including, a simulated hospital ward, an immersive suite and home care environment. You will need to be self-motivated with a dedication to student achievement and have exceptional organisational and planning skills.

It is essential that you hold a minimum Level 3 relevant Health and Social care qualification and desirable that you hold a Level 5 or above relevant Health and Social care qualification. You will have experience in the sector and possess an appropriate teaching qualification (or willing to work towards one). Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
