Hairdressing Part Time Lecturer (Tutor) Salary: £21.63 per hour Part Time, 12 hours a week until June 2026 Fixed term until 30th June 2026 Burton on Trent, Town Centre Campus Who are we looking for? Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking to appoint a qualified, committed, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Hair & Beauty Curriculum Team to deliver on a range of hairdressing courses. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a forward thinking, learner centred department. Key focuses involve personal development, improving behaviour and attitudes whilst achieving impressive outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to innovative learning, teaching, and assessment. Ideally be actively or previously engaged within the hairdressing industry and is willing to develop relationships with local, regional, and national employers. To be successful it is ideal to hold previous teaching experience. The College is looking for individuals who are committed to helping learners stretch and challenge themselves and develop the skills sets necessary for progressing onto their next career step. The position would involve monitoring individual, qualification, and course performance, with identification and implementation of appropriate support. The successful candidate will teach across a range of programmes which could range from Level 1 to 3. This will be aligned to occupational skillset in-order to deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessments to our learners. In this role, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate innovative teaching and learning, coupled with excellent communication skills to motivate and guide learners to succeed.
