Who are we looking for?
Burton and South Derbyshire College are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Tutor to complement our existing Foundation Learning Team.
Our Foundation Learning provision supports learners with a wide range of learning difficulties and / or disabilities, helping them build confidence, develop essential life and employability skills, and progress towards further study or employment. Learners often have Education and Health Care Plans, and our inclusive environment ensures they receive the support they need to thrive. You will play a key role in inspiring and enabling learners to achieve their goals, contributing to a safe, positive, and engaging learning experience.
The successful candidate will have experience of developing learning materials and teaching and assessing learners with diverse support and learning needs while working to awarding body standards.
A positive “can do” attitude is required, combined with a friendly and approachable nature. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads and respond flexibly as situations demand.
