You do not need to have had teacher training to start teaching in FE. BSDC can support you to become a qualified teacher as part of the job and you could even be eligible for an FE initial teacher education (ITE) bursary to support your pre-service training in mathematics.
Information on the eligibility criteria and application process for the FE ITE bursaries offer can be found on should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
