We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Solicitor or Legal Executive to work in our highly successful Residential Property team. You will work on Sales and Purchase, Freehold and Leasehold. This is an exciting key role giving you the opportunity to develop your skills in a happy proactive team and build your knowledge and client base with the support of an experienced and successful Residential Property team and lots of training and mentoring. All our work is privately funded, and we do not pay referral fees. You will be working with a quality client base who value a personal service and quality legal work.
What success looks like
- Progressing conveyancing matters efficiently and accurately (with appropriate supervision), delivering great client care, and building confidence and capability within the team.
- Keeping files moving: prepare documents, raise and respond to enquiries, and chase outstanding items so matters progress to exchange/completion on time.
- Communicating clearly and regularly with clients, agents and lenders, setting expectations and recording advice and instructions accurately.
- Producing high-quality, compliant work: identify key risks, escalate early, and follow firm processes and checklists.
- Learning fast and collaborating well: seek feedback, support colleagues and support staff, and contribute to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Guide clients through their transaction from instruction to completion with clear advice and proactive updates.
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact, setting expectations and keeping clients updated.
- Progress matters efficiently: draft/review documents, raise and respond to enquiries, and chase outstanding items.
- Review title/lease documents, identify key risks in plain English, and escalate early where needed.
- Coordinate with agents, lenders, other solicitors and support staff to remove blockers and meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate files, time or task recording and matter management in line with firm processes and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
You will be a legal executive or solicitor qualified in England and Wales with residential conveyancing experience.
