The ideal candidate will provide assistance with legal matters for our private client solicitors. You will be responsible for administrative tasks and you may also undertake research and drafting work on a wide variety of matters, as well as supporting other business functions as required.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Communicating with clients, solicitors, and other parties by telephone, in person and in writing and by email.
- Diary management, dealing with internal and external bookings and keeping the diaries of fee earners in an orderly and efficient state.
- Driving the administrative management of files, including opening and closing files.
- File compliance administration, ensuring that files are maintained in a regulation and policy compliant manner from opening to closure.
- Assisting other teams in the firm with administrative tasks.
- Providing top quality service to new and existing clients.
- Undertaking limited legal research.
- Enjoying the opportunity of being directly involved in varied and high-quality work.
Qualifications
- English Law degree or English law training, or Experience in legal assistance in an English law firm.
Pay and rewards
- In office working – We believe that teams and professionals grow and improve optimally when working in physical proximity. You will be based in our office in central Brighton.

- Salary – For this full-time role, the firm is expecting to pay £25,000 to £30,000 per annum subject to experience and credentials.
