More about the role

This role sits within Burson’s Corporate and Public Affairs team.

As a Senior Account Executive, Social & Content, you will play an important role in the day-to-day delivery of social media activity for a number of high profile brands.

Working as part of a global team, you will support client relationships, coordinate multiple workstreams and help deliver high-quality, social-first content across Linked In, Facebook and X, with opportunities to work across Instagram and Tik Tok.

We are looking for someone with strong agency experience, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to client and project management.

What you'll do

  • Take day-to-day ownership of assigned client workstreams, managing timelines, deliverables, approvals and next steps from brief through to delivery.
  • Build day-to-day client relationships, supporting meetings, preparing agendas and action points, and keeping clients updated on progress.
  • Coordinate content development across internal teams, including design, editing, creative and social specialists.
  • Contribute to content planning, editorial calendars and the development of new, platform-relevant ideas.
  • Write, edit and proofread social media copy, content briefs, presentation materials and client communications.
  • Develop recommendations for assets, formats, messaging and content structure across Linked In, Facebook, X and other relevant platforms.
  • Maintain WIPs, project trackers, content calendars and status updates, ensuring activity remains organised and on schedule.
  • Monitor social media platforms, cultural trends and best practice, bringing proactive ideas and insights to the team and clients.
  • Support the creation of social media performance reports, helping translate data into clear recommendations and actions.
  • Support the activation of paid campaigns across social channels, including campaign set-up, management and the development of paid content.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the global team and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.
  • Support more junior team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the account.
  • Contribute to new business, brainstorming and wider agency initiatives where appropriate.

Experience that contributes to success

  • Experience developing or delivering social media content for Linked In and Facebook, with knowledge of Instagram, X and Tik Tok.
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms, content formats, trends and best practice.
  • Previous experience working in an agency environment within communications, PR, social media, digital or content.
  • Experience managing day-to-day client relationships and coordinating multiple projects or workstreams.
  • Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience creating client materials, including presentations, status reports, content calendars and performance reports.
  • Familiarity with social media and content tools such as Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Canva and Cap Cut.
  • An understanding of paid social campaign activation, including campaign set-up, management and content development.
  • A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to client work.
  • The confidence to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues at all levels.
