More about the role: This role offers the opportunity to develop under the guidance of some of the best in the industry and gain first-hand experience working on high-profile international brands. The experience of the 20+ team enables us to deliver integrated communications, from corporate, B2B and consumer communications, to digital & social, influencers, analyst relations, content marketing and public affairs. We understand technology ecosystems, consumer and business audiences, and the power of the influencer. Having a passion for technology is essential for this role as you will be working with several of the world’s leading technology brands.

What you'll do:

  • Supporting on day-to-day media liaison, developing solid media relationships and managing media requests and product reviews
  • Developing press materials, from press releases and blogs to Q&As and briefing documents, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Handling junior client relationships, developing a strong rapport with your day-to-day contact
  • Overseeing the creation of coverage and activity reports for clients
  • Managing press briefings, product launches, conferences and similar events for clients
  • Attending and contributing ideas in internal brainstorms, contributing to generating creative ideas in response to client briefs
  • Monitoring and keeping abreast of relevant industry news to build an understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape and how they impact clients

Experience that contributes to success:

  • A positive and proactive attitude to seeking out opportunities to add value to clients and teams
  • A fan of technology that enhances human progress, with an understanding of the consumer technology market, who is excited by its future within society and business
  • Experience in the technology and/or telecoms sectors – ideally both, but technology experience is a must
  • A media hound and storyteller who loves to craft compelling pitches and knows how to sell them to business, trade and national media
  • A global outlook, with the ability to transfer skills across both UK and global client work
  • Organisational skills and the ability to tightly manage relationships with international Burson offices
  • Attention to detail and an appreciation of time management
