We provide integrated communication solutions that support businesses throughout their corporate lifecycle—whether navigating challenges, managing growth, or amplifying success.

We are looking for an immediately available numerate, well organised individual with good interpersonal and communication skills to join as an Accounts Assistant, supporting the Financial Controller and Finance Director. The role is to assist with general accounting transactional duties and support the monthly, quarterly and year‑end reporting cycles. Assistance will be given to those candidates wishing to pursue professional accountancy examinations.

What You’ll Do

  • Production of both monthly fee and disbursements invoices to issue to clients, including collation of disbursement backup
  • Assist with debt collection process and client query management
  • Daily monitoring of Company bank account, including input and matching of accounts receivable and payable within Maconomy finance system
  • Processing of vendor invoices and purchase orders in Maconomy finance system, and management of employee expense submissions
  • Preparing and processing monthly and ad hoc supplier payments
  • Processing of month end journals, including pre-payments and accruals
  • Producing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including Company bank account reconciliation
  • Preparing of monthly, quarterly and annual submissions of BFC Cartesis packages
  • Monitoring and managing the accounts team email address

Experience That Contributes To Success

  • Experience with Maconomy, Cartesis and Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting procedures
  • Good communications skills in order to communicate at all levels including with Senior Executives
  • Ability to manage day to day responsibilities in an efficient manner
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Skilled at prioritising tasks and being flexible, including being able to cope with instant demands alongside day to day responsibilities
