We are seeking an Inclusive Learning Advisor to join our team at our Ellesmere Port campus. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Learning and Learner Services team to provide high quality support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and/or inclusion needs, to ensure they reach their maximum educational and developmental potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and/or inclusion needs and support their achievement, attendance and retention at College.
- Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students.
- Liaise with College staff in the planning of appropriate support for learners with SEND, including special examination arrangements and careers advice.
- Produce SEND support plans.
- Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
Key Person Specification Requirements
- Degree or equivalent.
- Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Experience of working in a learning support capacity.
- Good working knowledge of students with SEND and/or inclusion needs.
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to develop positive working relationships.
