Location: Ellesmere Port Campus

We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer to take on an exciting new role within our Motor Vehicle department at our Ellesmere Port Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach on a range of Motor Vehicle Service, (PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, MOT Test, Air Conditioning– Desirable) and Repair courses;
  • Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment;
  • Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College.

Key Person Specification Requirements

  • Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair;
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths;
  • PGCE or commitment to work towards;
  • Minimum 3 years industry experience;
  • Up-to-date industry experience;
  • Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
  • Up-to-date occupational experience;
  • Enhanced DBS check.

We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and current industry practitioners without a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme that provides support and training based on previous experience and individual need. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported through our ‘Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12‑week programme.’
