Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support for young people with special education needs (SEN) to fulfil the requirements of their job role on employment placements as part of a Supported Internship programme.
- Provide in-depth instruction and coaching to fulfil agreed job tasks on a reducing basis over time.
- Engage with employers and employee colleagues to provide the support and integration necessary to sustain the internship and potential future progression to paid employment.
Key Person Specification Requirements
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
- Qualification in Systematic Instruction (TSI) (willingness to work towards).
- Proven experience in a similar supportive environment.
- Experience of working and communicating effectively with people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
- Enhanced DBS check.
