We are looking for inspirational Lecturers to take on exciting new roles within our English department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach on GCSE resit courses and functional skills;
- Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment;
- Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College.
Key Person Specification Requirements
- Degree;
- Teacher trained (PGCE, DTLLS or CertEd) or working towards;
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths (or equivalent);
- Ability to teach another subject would be advantageous;
- Knowledge and understanding of awarding body standards and requirements;
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment;
- Experience of working in Further Education;
- Up-to-date occupational experience;
- Enhanced DBS check.
Support
All new Lecturers will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme which provides support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme includes induction to college systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular one‑to‑one support from the Quality team.
