As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a skilled Passive Fire Contracts Manager to grow the business client list, lead on-site teams, ensure compliance, and uphold the high standards we’re known for.
The Role
As a Passive Fire Contracts Manager, you’ll oversee fire-stopping works from survey through to completion, ensuring installations meet BM Trada and manufacturer standards. You’ll manage and support installers and subcontractors, audit completed works, and act as the technical point of contact for both the site team and the client. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate passive fire protection works across multiple sites.
- Carry out site surveys, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Tender for new projects including site surveys and liaising with clients.
- Validate certification and ensure all work meets BM Trada and manufacturer standards.
- Review risk assessments, method statements, and remedial works.
- Manage and mentor internal installers and subcontractors.
- Train and develop team members to deliver consistent, high-quality installations.
- Liaise with clients and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for compliance and project documentation.
Skills & Experience
- Advanced expertise in contract law, compliance, and industry standards.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing fire-stopping and passive fire protection teams.
- Strong understanding of fire regulations and related standards.
- Competence in auditing and signing off works in line with Q-Mark BM Trada requirements.
- Customer-focused approach with good communication and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to convey information clearly and professionally.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work across various sites and occasionally from our SN10 office.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- SSSTS required.
- CSCS required.
- Previous Q-MARK certification is desirable.
- NVQ Levels 2 (required) in Passive Fire Protection.
- Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role required.
