We're Hiring: Geotechnical Engineer (Intermediate Level)
Due to continued growth within our Geo Team, Burrows Graham is looking to recruit an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our expanding team.
Based primarily from our Altrincham office, this role offers a mixture of office-based work, UK-wide site visits, and some flexibility for home working.
Working closely with our Civil and Structural Engineering teams, you'll be involved in a diverse range of projects across the commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare and infrastructure sectors.
The role will include:
- Reviewing existing ground investigation and geotechnical information
- Designing and specifying site investigations
- Producing geotechnical interpretative reports and specifications
- Providing technical advice to project teams
- Supervising large-scale earthworks projects
We're looking for someone with industry experience and a good understanding of areas such as:
- Ground improvement
- Mineral workings and natural cavities
Whilst predominantly a geotechnical role, experience or interest in geo-environmental work would also be beneficial, including:
- Ground risk assessments
What we're looking for:
- Self-motivated and proactive approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with AutoCAD, Rocscience (Slide2, Settle3) or Oasys (pDisp) would be advantageous, but not essential
