We are seeking experienced support workers in the Torquay area to cover bank shifts in our respite service. This is a busy service so we are seeking candidates who have energy, empathy and who have the skills to care for the people we support in the best way possible.

Burrow Down Support Services is dedicated to providing exceptional support for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs in Paignton and surrounding areas. Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where imagination, understanding, and adaptability are at the forefront of our approach.

Short Breaks is a 6 bed respite service providing person centred care to adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We support individuals during their stay with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication, and outings.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Burrow Down Support Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care.

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
  • Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
