We are looking for a proactive and analytical Financial Systems Analyst to join our Central Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining finance, systems and process improvement, and wants to help shape the future of finance operations within a collaborative global environment.
About The Role
We're looking for someone with strong financial and analytical capability, a passion for systems and process improvement, and the confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver finance system enhancements including testing, implementation, user training and post-go-live support.
- Gather finance requirements and translate them into detailed, well-defined IT project briefs.
- Support the coordination of finance and IT resources to ensure projects are delivered successfully and on schedule.
- Create and maintain system documentation, process guides and user training materials.
- Support system upgrades, including testing, issue resolution and sign-off activities.
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place to minimise risk and maintain the integrity of finance systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and maximise the value of existing systems.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to meet evolving business requirements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key point of contact for finance system queries and support colleagues across the global business.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives as required by Finance leadership.
About You:
- Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA, or working towards a professional finance qualification.
- Strong financial analysis skills with excellent numerical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with accounting and financial systems, including systems development or enhancement activities.
- Experience operating within both project-based and business-as-usual environments.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data and financial reporting tools.
- Comfortable communicating with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across different levels of the organisation.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative and self-motivated individual who enjoys driving improvements and solving complex challenges.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Experience within professional services, engineering or construction environments would be advantageous.
- Exposure to Unit4 and/or Deltek Vantagepoint would be beneficial but is not essential.
