We are looking for a Waste and Logistics Consultant with experience in waste and/or logistics management, waste technologies, master planning, or building design to deliver innovative solutions for the built environment and foster the circular economy. The role can be based from our Bath, London, Manchester, or Edinburgh offices with hybrid working.
Buro Happold’s Waste Operations, Logistics and Flow team advises on building and city level waste generation, collection and treatment systems. We work with design teams to ensure waste and deliveries can efficiently move through the building. Our team of engineers and scientists have worked on over 260 projects in 40 different countries.
Responsibilities- Develop waste and logistics strategies for diverse projects
- Calculate waste generation demands and plan efficient routes
- Select storage and transport methods for goods and waste
- Explore innovative waste treatment options
- Coordinate with design teams on waste infrastructure locations, internal building design, including service yards for waste and goods flows
- Technical report writing and bid preparation
- Lead and manage multiple projects both technically and commercially
- Present to design teams and clients
- Academic background in waste management, engineering, logistics or environmental science
- Experience in waste management or related fields
- Working towards relevant Chartership
- Work on global projects spanning sports venues, hospitals, airports, museums, new districts and city-level masterplans.
