Buro Happold is recruiting an individual experienced in office relocations to oversee the planning, coordinating, and delivery of a Bath based office move on a 12 month fixed term basis.
Based in the company\’s current Bath office and reporting into the Business Operations Manager, this role will ensure that the office relocation is carried out efficiently, with minimal disruption to business operations, while maintaining a high standard of service and compliance with health and safety regulations.
K ey Duties:
- Lead and manage end-to-end office relocation projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth transitions.
- Develop and implement move plans, including space planning, furniture installation, IT setup, and employee communication/engagement.
- Oversee day-to-day operational logistics related to facilities, office services, and workplace support.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, floor plans, and occupancy data.
- Support change management initiatives to help staff adapt to new environments.
- Monitor and report on project progress, timelines, and budgets.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure employees are well-informed and supported during transitions.
- Develop and deliver training and communication plans to facilitate change
- Identify risks and potential issues: Develop contingency plans to address any unexpected problems that may arise during the relocation
- Maintain a clear and consistent flow of information to keep stakeholders informed about the relocation.
- Overseeing the setup of the new office space, ensuring that furniture, equipment, and IT systems are properly installed and functioning.
- Manage inventory and asset tagging, ensuring that all office equipment is accounted for and properly labelled for transport.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in facilities management, office operations, or workplace relocation.
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of space planning, office design, and workplace technology.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Facilities Management (e.g., IWFM, IFMA) is desirable, as is experience with CAD software or space planning tools and project management software.
