We are hiring a Senior People Movement Consultant to drive analytics and simulations for complex crowd flow projects around the world. This role will collaborate with architects, developers, and authorities to design and manage spaces using cutting‑edge crowd dynamics tools.

Key Duties

  • Work on diverse global projects ranging from museums to airports, analysing millions of people in contexts such as Makkah.
  • Provide day‑to‑day design and management advice to clients based on crowd flow analysis.
  • Oversee modelling and analysis, report and presentation delivery, and client liaison to agree assumptions and scenarios.
  • Manage projects, ensuring quality assurance, time management and delivery within required timescales.
  • Support junior staff development in crowd modelling techniques.
  • Apply existing standards and methods across a range of sectors.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to group meetings and take a lead on idea development.
  • Travel as needed to attend on‑site and client meetings in the UK and overseas.

Your skills & experience

  • Experience in crowd, pedestrian modelling and crowd‑management consultancy.
  • Degree in a relevant field – transport, mathematics, economics, statistics, operational research, geo‑spatial analysis, physics, organisational psychology, or engineering.
  • Leading multimillion‑person crowd‑flow modelling projects, delivering insights that influence design or management decisions.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to generate assumptions when data is limited.
  • Proficiency in modelling packages such as Viswalk, Legion, Mass Motion, Pathfinder or equivalent.
  • Ability to present technical ideas clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) is desirable.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is beneficial.
