This role will be based from our Bath office with a hybrid working arrangement or 1 to 2 days in the office. This is a high-impact role where your insight will influence strategic decisions across a global organization – partnering with stakeholders up to board level and shaping how we assess and respond to client risk.

What you’ll be doing

  • Your responsibilities will include:
    • Assessing the creditworthiness and insolvency risk of clients globally—from SMEs to major international organisations
    • Providing expert insight into sanctions, solvency and country risk, supporting key bid and commercial decisions
    • Monitoring our client portfolio, identifying early warning signs and proactively managing risk exposure
    • Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership and regional teams
    • Managing credit insurance policies and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies
    • Driving data quality, reporting accuracy and continuous improvement within the credit risk function
    • Collaborating with Commercial, Legal and project teams to embed a strong risk-aware culture
    • Leading and developing a small team, with scope to grow the function over time
    • Leveraging tools, automation and emerging technologies to enhance the effectiveness of risk processes

What success looks like

You’ll be a visible leader within the organisation – shaping the strategic direction of credit risk and ensuring your insights are embedded into business decision-making. By building strong stakeholder relationships and proactively highlighting risks, you’ll help safeguard the business while enabling confident, well-informed growth.

About you

We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with the confidence to influence at a senior level. You’ll bring:

  • Experience in credit risk, underwriting or financial analysis
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to translate complex risk into clear, actionable insight
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including board-level audiences
  • Excellent relationship-building skills across a global organisation
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid Excel and data analysis skills

  • Experience in the construction or engineering sector
  • Knowledge of sanctions legislation within a B2B environment
  • Line management experience
  • Membership of (or willingness to work towards) the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM)

Why join us?

  • Shape and develop a critical global function
  • Work with senior stakeholders across international markets
  • Drive innovation and automation in credit risk
  • Grow your career within a supportive, values-driven organisation

  • 10% Car allowance
  • Holiday entitlement of 25 days per annum (exclusive of bank holidays) and flexible holiday arrangements
  • Generous company pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits including cycle scheme, dental insurance, optical cover, travel insurance, season ticket loans and corporate discounts
  • Enhanced parenthood leave policies
  • 3pm finish on the last Friday of the month
