We're looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Creative & Visuals to lead our global creative function and elevate how our brand, expertise and stories are brought to life across every touchpoint.

Reporting to our Chief Marketing & Brand Officer and forming part of the Marketing Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual expression of the Buro Happold brand internationally.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic creative leader who combines commercial awareness, exceptional design judgement, and a passion for storytelling.

Key responsibilities include

  • Lead the creative direction for major global marketing campaigns.
  • Develop engaging concepts and storytelling across digital, print, video and experiential channels.
  • Champion creative excellence, innovation and best practice throughout the business.
  • Own and evolve Buro Happold's visual identity and brand guidelines.
  • Ensure a consistent, impactful and differentiated brand presence across markets and sectors.
  • Act as the firm's senior creative authority, advising stakeholders and external partners on creative direction and brand expression.
  • Collaborate with content and thought leadership teams to transform complex research and insight into visually compelling publications.
  • Oversee the creation of reports, infographics, visual storytelling assets and data visualisations.
  • Ensure content is accessible, engaging and aligned with our brand narrative.
  • Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing global creative team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to understand needs and deliver exceptional creative solutions.
  • Identify emerging trends, technologies and opportunities within design, branding and storytelling.
  • Drive continuous improvement in creative processes and outputs.
  • Measure and evaluate creative effectiveness to strengthen brand impact and business outcomes.

You’ll be an accomplished creative leader with extensive experience building brands, leading teams and delivering impactful creative work in complex organisations.

Essential

  • Significant experience in a senior creative, design or brand leadership role.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand development, storytelling and creative excellence.
  • Experience translating strategic objectives into compelling creative campaigns.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data visualisation and visual storytelling.
  • Experience delivering thought leadership and content-rich publications.
  • Understanding of website UX and UI design principles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong project planning, prioritisation and delivery capabilities.

Desirable

  • Experience within engineering, architecture, consultancy or professional services environments.
  • Knowledge of digital-first brand experiences, motion design and emerging creative technologies.
  • Experience working with global audiences and international markets.

This person can be based in Bath or London on a hybrid working model.
