Are you a graduate looking to shape the future of our planet? Buro Happold is looking to recruit an Analyst in our rapidly growing Advisory team in the UK.

Buro Happold\’s newly formed Advisory team focuses on providing critical insights, analysis and recommendations to clients to drive strategic success and enhance their financial, environmental and social performance (the triple-bottom-line, across people, planet and places). We deliver business advisory with engineering at its core.

Our UK Advisory services cover Digital Advisory (Smart places, digital and data), Capital Projects (programme advisory, asset optimisation and commercial advisory) and Sustainability and energy transformation.

Our projects vary considerably; from defining the smart city technologies that will transform the resident, worker or visitor experience, to developing a sophisticated data-driven 3D model of a university campus to determine the most effective route to net zero carbon, to outlining the team, processes and policies required for our clients to manage their major capital programme effectively. All our projects have engineering or \’real-world asset\’ expertise at their core and it is that, with our relentless focus on the triple-bottom-line, that makes us unique.

The team works across a range of consulting areas including strategy, business case development, programme management, data, governance, solution development, innovation and change management. We are looking for analysts who want to collaborate with clients, our experts in design, and technology internally and externally to make a real-world difference.

Key Duties;

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities and challenges for our clients.
  • Collaborate with project teams to collect and analyse data, perform financial modelling, and develop business cases to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in the formulation and execution of client engagements, including Digital Advisory, Capital Projects and Sustainability and Energy Transformation projects. This may include, for example, supporting with running of workshops, developing strategy reports, roadmaps, defining solution designs, conducting research, drafting deliverables, delivering steerco presentations, developing and delivering process, governance, organisation and procurement outputs.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and deliverables that effectively communicate complex information and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the development of frameworks, methodologies, and tools to enhance the analytical capabilities of the Advisory team.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in strategy across our advisory areas to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services.
  • Develop the skills to build relationships with client individuals based on credibility and active listening
  • Support and work collaboratively with team members on and off projects
  • Build new skills and strengthen your expertise with training and support

Your skills & experience

  • Bachelor\’s degree in any discipline from any university including Engineering and Mathematics, Business and Management, Property and the Built Environment and IT and Computer Science.
  • Some experience or knowledge of Construction, Real Estate, Sustainability and Digital Strategy, innovation, or transformation preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present complex data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and insights clearly and concisely.
  • Some experience with project management and / or consulting methodologies e.g. MSP, Design-led thinking or others would be beneficial
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint. Experience in data visualisation software desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
