We are looking for a Visual Communications Designer to join our in‑house Visual Communication team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high‑impact design initiatives across multidisciplinary projects. The role will be based from the London office with hybrid working.

Key Duties

  • Deliver high‑quality visual communications for project outputs, including presentations, reports, infographics, illustrations, and digital media.
  • Work within project briefs and brand guidelines, adapting to client or project‑specific requirements as needed.
  • Contribute to creative concept development, bringing ideas and solutions to project teams with confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Designer and Team Lead to maintain consistent high‑level creative standards across deliverables.
  • Operate as a chargeable resource – accurately recording time against project codes, estimating own time and supporting the team’s commercial visibility.
  • Proactively engage with project teams and discipline leads, attending project meetings and contributing to scoping conversations.
  • Explore and apply AI and emerging design tools to improve efficiency and output quality.
  • Support junior team members where relevant, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of craft and quality.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in graphic design or visual communication, ideally within a professional services, consultancy, or built environment context.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); Figma experience desirable.
  • Solid skills across print and digital design: layout, typography, data visualisation, and information design.
  • Solid skills in colour theory and application of colour.
  • Experience in sketching and illustration is highly desirable.
  • Experience in motion and animation is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within brand guidelines and design systems across multiple output types.
  • Good written and verbal communication – confident taking and refining a brief.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Desirable: Experience in or genuine enthusiasm for the architecture, engineering, urban planning, or built environment sectors.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with working in a fee‑earning or chargeable environment where time is tracked to project codes.
  • Desirable: Experience in motion graphics, animation (After Effects), or 3D visualisation.
  • Desirable: Interest in or working knowledge of AI design tools (e.g. GPT Images 2.0, Nano Banana Pro, generative workflows).
