Are you passionate about creating innovative, elegant and robust structural engineering solutions for complex construction projects? This role is for an Associate Structural Engineer in our London-based structural engineering team focusing on a diverse portfolio of projects in the UK and around the world. This is a technically demanding role with a focus on computational techniques and reducing embodied carbon and modern methods of construction in structural design. The ideal candidate will have experience across a wide variety of projects and sectors. Role of an Associate Structural Engineer includes a variety of duties such as:
- Preparation of technical specifications and checking the work/specifications of other engineers in the team.
- Leadership of projects on behalf of the group, ownership of sustained and productive client relationships.
- Reviewing job financial performance and managing resources accordingly.
- Guiding less experienced team members to achieve project success.
- Supporting delivery of the team’s Performance and Development Review process.
- Providing support in seeking new work from existing clients.
- Preparing bid proposals and additional fee proposals (with the support of Group Directors, Associate Directors and Bid team colleagues).
Your skills & experience:
- Outstanding foundation as a technical and project leader, demonstrated by a track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within the industry.
- Mentoring and leadership experience of other engineering professionals, with the ability to develop individuals’ skills and foster collaboration and cohesive teamwork.
- Overseas and domestic project experience, ideally within multiple sectors.
- Solid educational foundation – ideally a degree and postgraduate qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, professional registration with ECUK or other body, and membership of a relevant institution such as ICE or IStructE.
