Working as part of the UK Infrastructure Group, you will provide solutions to local infrastructure and utility needs through to planning entire cities overseas. This role will have responsibility for delivering technical design on a diverse range of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in the south east region and also across the world, from city-scale masterplanning through to campus and building scale development infrastructure, with a special emphasis on potable water supply, treatment, and distribution systems.

Your next role:
- Be part of an exceptional team that embraces technically demanding projects and challenges. Be at the forefront of changes in the industry such as reducing embodied carbon and modern methods of infrastructure design.
Key Duties:
- Managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, balancing demands and priorities, whilst reviewing civil infrastructure design—including potable water systems—from project proposition through to construction. Plan project resources and finances and monitor job financial performance.
- Leading the technical design and specification of potable water supply, treatment, and distribution systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- The management of technical staff, with responsibility for planning team workload, as well as assisting and mentoring staff where needed, and developing more junior team members, particularly in potable water design.
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and schedules, with a focus on potable water infrastructure.
- Applying customer focus, you will be part of the work winning team securing the group’s project pipeline, including potable water projects.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Strong technical background in infrastructure design, with a demonstrable track record of leading a technical specialism in potable water systems.
- Experience in potable water system design, including supply, treatment, and distribution, preferably on international multidisciplinary projects.
- Ability to manage and motivate the team, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A willingness to travel, and desire to lead continuous quality improvement in our work.
- Experience in AutoCAD and relevant potable water design software.
- Membership of a relevant professional institution.
