Are you a proactive, organised, and people-focused professional ready to take the lead in a dynamic support environment? Buro Happold is seeking a Lead Group Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term contract to help drive excellence across our Engineering Support Team.

The role will be based at our HQ in Bath with hybrid working.

About the Role

As Lead Group Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our support services run smoothly and effectively. You’ll manage a team of Group Coordinators and Admin Assistants, support their development, and work closely with senior stakeholders to align team goals with company strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage support staff, including performance reviews and career development
  • Coordinate team resourcing and ensure consistent support across offices
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Oversee administrative processes including document formatting, bid submissions, and travel arrangements
  • Facilitate internal communications, meetings, and events
  • Champion continuous improvement and self-development within the team

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in administration and team support
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); InDesign knowledge is a plus
  • A confident communicator and natural problem-solver
  • Passionate about people development and team leadership
  • Adaptable, resilient, and proactive in driving change
