This is an exciting opportunity to join our Environment team in Bath, London or Manchester. The role is offered on a six-month contract basis.**We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to get involved in environmental input to the concept and detailed masterplanning process, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA). This role is within Buro Happold’s International Environmental Planning Service Line, which is part of Buro Happold’s Environmental Consulting Discipline. The opportunity is available in either our Bath, Manchester or London office. The role is offered on a six-month contract basis.**No two days are the same in the International Environmental Planning service line at Buro Happold. We work within a multi-disciplinary practice, and a graduate environmental consultant role will see you working alongside various wider environmental disciplines.To find out more about our Environmental Consulting Discipline,.This role will see you take an assistant project manager role, including in the delivery of environmental sections of masterplanning reports, EIA, ESIA and SEA. The coordinator role will support Buro Happold’s environmental consultancy services, and will utilise and enhance your knowledge of regeneration and urban projects overseas, and your ability to influence design collaboratively and project manage effectively.Working on a variety of international masterplans, infrastructure and environmental restoration projects your portfolio could soon include: * Masterplanning of mega-projects in the Middle East.* International financed projects, in developing countries, to International Standards* Provide a point of contact to project leaders within Buro Happold and represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals and suppliers externally on projects with an environmental component.* Technical report writing including contributing to Concept Masterplanning reports, Detailed Masterplanning Reports, EIA, ESIA and SEA, including writing general chapters.* Create presentations using infographics/imagery to show complex data visually.* Carrying out studies, research and analysis.* Assisting with project management including budgets for specific assignments and projects.* Compiling geographic data, analysing mapped information, utilising site data in a range of GIS applications and presenting outputs in innovative ways.* Knowledge from a degree such as Environmental Science.* A keen interest in the EIA/ESIA/SEA process.* A desire to develop Project Management skills, in an EIA/ESIA/SEA coordination capacity.* Strong communication skills and an ability to work well independently and also in a team.**Graduates at Buro Happold**When you join Buro Happold you are embedded into an exciting network of engineers and consultants, that supports your career development.
