Process Engineer – Decommissioning Project

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our Aberdeen team supporting a major decommissioning project. This role is ideally suited to an engineer with strong attention to detail, excellent knowledge of P&IDs, and previous experience in offshore decommissioning activities.
The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for reviewing and marking up engineering documentation to support declassification activities, ensuring systems can be effectively monitored and prepared for safe decommissioning operations.
Key Responsibilities
Review and mark up P&IDs to identify high and low vent and drain points.
Update registers and associated documentation to support decommissioning activities.
Identify and record minor modifications required to facilitate monitoring for declassification.
Ensure engineering documentation is maintained accurately and consistently.
Work closely with project and operations teams to support safe and efficient execution of decommissioning scopes.
Contribute to technical reviews and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Requirements
Degree qualified in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline.
5-10 years' process engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.
Strong familiarity with P&IDs and engineering document review.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a project team.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Previous involvement in decommissioning projects.
Experience of DFPV (Drain Flushing, Purge & Venting) activities.
Experience supporting declassification programmes.
Working knowledge of Bluebeam software.
Understanding of offshore processing systems and asset decommissioning practices.
