This is an exciting opportunity to teach at one of New Zealand’s leading coeducational schools. Burnside High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Hospitality and Food Technology to join our Technology Faculty. This is a permanent position commencing at the start of Term 3, 2026, or by negotiation.

The successful applicant will work across a range of specialist hospitality and junior food technology programmes, inspiring students in both junior and senior classes through engaging, practical, and inclusive learning experiences. Experience or industry knowledge in hospitality – including chef training, front of house service, or barista skills – would be an advantage.

We are seeking a skilled and student‑focused teacher who demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management, and the ability to foster a safe, collaborative, and inclusive learning environment. The ability to contribute positively to the wider faculty and the life of the school is essential.
