Senior Director - Engineering, Burns Sheehan

Up to £125,000 plus stock

London – Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

We are working with an amazing Carbon Neutral, B-Corp certified start‑up to find a Staff Product Engineer to join a small yet experienced engineering team. The company has received over $20m in funding in the last two years and as it reaches breakeven it is scaling its sustainable platform.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building new features to improve the lives of users.
  • Improving tooling and infrastructure for scalability.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to innovate.
  • Leading design discussions to solve real‑world problems.

Qualifications

  • Passion for building sustainable, net‑zero products.
  • Comfortable with the ambiguity and challenge of an early‑stage start‑up.
  • Experience building backend services/APIs; able to code both front‑end and infrastructure.
  • Product mindset focused on customer benefit.
  • Willing to release imperfect solutions.
