Senior Front End Engineer with UX / Product Design Experience
Cybersecurity / analytics platform
Hands-on design and implementation role
We’re working with a Manchester-based technology business in the cybersecurity space who are looking for a Front End Engineer with strong UX and product design experience to join their team.
This is not a pure UX role, and it is not a role where you’ll simply hand designs over to a large development team.
They’re looking for someone who enjoys owning the full journey from understanding user needs and shaping the interface, through to building production-ready front-end features.
You’ll be working on a complex B2B SaaS platform, helping turn technical cybersecurity and analytics capabilities into clear, intuitive and user-friendly customer experiences.
The ideal person will be comfortable acting as the main UX/design-focused person within a development team, while still being genuinely hands‑on with the front‑end build.
You’ll be involved in:
- Building customer-facing front-end features, dashboards and workflows
- Translating complex technical products into clean, usable interfaces
- Working closely with product, backend and platform engineers
- Creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows where needed
- Improving usability, accessibility and visual consistency
- Owning front-end implementation rather than just producing designs
They’re particularly interested in speaking with people who have:
- Strong front-end engineering experience with React, Vue or similar
- Experience working on SaaS, enterprise, analytics, cybersecurity or data-heavy products
- Confidence using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch
- Experience working closely with APIs and backend engineering teams
- The ability to operate independently as the design-minded engineer within a product team
The package includes:
- Salary up to £85,000
- Private medical insurance
- Life assurance
- Employer pension contribution
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and birthdays
- Social events
- Learning and development budget
- Lunch & Learn sessions
- Real progression opportunities within a growing technology business
This would suit someone who enjoys a truedesign and development mix, especially if you like being close to the product and want real ownership over how users interact with a platform.
